combined above two eqn. 0>n
n is negative.
clearly p and q are positive integers.
suffuient.

if n<0 how does it mean that p and q greater than n?

Hi,
because its given both p and q are positive integers.
so if p=4 and q =6 p-q= -2 but both p and q are greater than n
