We know that distance = speed * time
Distance traveled by hiker in 5 minutes = 4 * 5/60 = 1/3 miles
Distance traveled by cyclist in 5 minutes = 20 * 5/60 = 5/3 miles
Therefore, distance between hiker and cyclist after 5 minutes = 5/3 - 1/3 = 4/3 miles
Hence, time taken by hiker to travel 4/3 miles = (4/3)÷ 4 = 1/3 hr = 1/3 * 60 = 20 minutes

The correct answer is C.
