Let sale by a domestic sales person be X.

Therefore, sales by a foreign sales person = 3/4X.

Let strength of foreign dept be Y.

Then, strength of domestic dept =1.25Y.

Total sales of domestic dept.= 1.25Y * X = 5/4 XY

Total sales of foreign dept = Y *3/4X.

Ratio of foreign sales to total sales = 3/4XY/(3/4XY + 5/4XY) = 3/8.

Therefore, answer is C!

number of sales people in foreign sales = 100
Hence, number of sales people in domestic sales = (100 + 25% of 100) = (100 + 25) = 125

the required ratio = (Number of sales person in foreign)/(Number of total sales person)
= 100/(100 + 125) = 100/225
= 4/9

answer is
4/9
