IMO D

Statement 1 :
Speed of train P = 70 .
Since they cross each other after 2 hours means that P has travelled 140 miles and still has 110 miles to go
this also means train Q has travelled 110 miles and has 140 miles to go
This is sufficient

Statement 2 :
Speed of train Q = 55 .
Since they cross each other after 2 hours means that Q has travelled 110 miles and still has 140 miles to go
this also means train P has travelled 140 miles and has 110 miles to go
This is sufficient again

From 1,
speed of P at the time of passing Q was 70 miles/hr...but this does not mention what is the average speed throughout the journey or for the past 2 hr..hence we cannot calculate the distance crossed by P in the last 2hrs--->not sufficient

From 2,
average speed of Q through out the journey is 55miles/hr.
hence in 2 hr is crosses 110miles and P crosses 140 miles

so P is closer to the destination.---->sufficient

Ans option B
Please confirm the OA.

that's a good observation about statement 1.
I stand corrected
imo should be B
