Hello,

Please evaluate my profile.

I am Sudharshan, 26 years old, working in manufacturing sector, for TVS Turbo Energy Ltd (National leader in Turbochargers market - India).

Work exp : 5+ years
Role : Project management - Key account management (Handled domestic and international customers)
GMAT : 650
B.E Mechanical : 80.3% - Anna University, Chennai
Other notable works : City team lead for M.A.D (Make A Difference - NGO for Education)

I am very interested in pursuing a one year- Global MBA course at Europe.

My targets are :

1. Rotterdam School of Management, Netherlands
2. ESMT, Berlin
3. Mannheim Business school, Germany

Do I have a good shot at those? Are there any other schools I should try? Please advise.

Hello,
Well you have some good stuff in your profile (work experience and leadership) and some challenges (Indian/Male/Tech) and no-name school. But many European schools are much easier to get into that equivalent US schools. Even with a GMAT of 650.

However given how competitive your pool is it is good if you have something in your profile that will make you STAND OUT - something unique, interesting, surprising... It will make your story and essays more exciting.

Other than that, there are many schools you can apply to, but Europe is a HUGE place, so it might be helpful if you narrow it down, by schools, by language, by country or industry to make a wise selection :)

Yes, I would say you definitely have a shot, you have an interesting profile so if you can present it all in a good way, your chances would be good at the schools you mentioned, even with that GMAT score. That requires an excellent application and essays, however, so that's what you need to focus on going forward.

How did you choose the schools you are targeting? I am asking because I think there may be some other schools that might be relevant for you as well. So what do you like about the 3 mentioned?

I have considered few criteria to select a university
1. One year GLOBAL Mba at Europe as I prefer a diversified class to study.
2. Ruled out Spain, France, Italy because of the language and economy
3. Top universities in Europe as per Financial times ranking
4. Am from a manufacturing background. The universities I have preferred focus more on innovation/technology/sustainability that is aligned with my thoughts.

Do let me know about the relevant universities. I'd be glad to discuss about it.

Have you considered the UK? How about France? (some French schools do require you to study some French but of course not to become fluent in it)

Seems like you have chosen wisely based on the criteria you mentioned by the way, you might just very well have found all the best schools for you already!
