Hi,
Thanks in advance for taking the time to evaluate my profile. I really appreciate it! I generally feel like I have a pretty strong profile, and am shooting for Stanford or Harvard for Fall 2009. But I would love to get an expert opinion and see if there are any areas I should focus on developing as I prep for the application process:
Male, 28
GMAT: 750 (98%), Q49 (89%) V42 (95%)
GPA: 3.81 (summa cum laude)
Undegraduate major: English and Management & Business (Double major)
Undergraduate college: Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY)
Work Experience:
I've been at the same company/organization since graduating college (almost six years). It's the national office of a major nonprofit organization (one of the largest in the country), and I work in the area of online strategy and operations. I've been promoted a total of five times, once to a manager-level position, and twice to director-level positions, and I currently manage a team of six people.
I have given a handful of presentations (about three) on my work and area of expertise at outside professional seminars.
I have also done a bit of freelance writing for websites and magazines on the side, but not for any really major publications. And the subjects of articles have been largely unrelated to my work.
Volunteer Experience:
I volunteer as a Fundraising Committee Member and Online Fundraising Consultant for a smaller, lesser-known nonprofit organization. (This is fairly recent.)
Thanks again for taking the time to respond to this!
