I started preparing for GMAT for about 1 month now. I recently joined MGMAT online course. I am able to answer the questions correctly while I am in class. I was expecting atleast 500 before the Prep Test.
I gave GMAT Prep test and I am very much depressed/disappointed with the score of 350.

Any advice to improve the score? My aim is to get 580-620 to join part-time MBA.

Thanks...

I don't think you should have much difficulty improving your score. You should be able to get into the 600s as long as you can devote about 2-3 hours of study time 5 nights a week. You should probably get the MGMAT math fundamentals book, and really master each chapter in that book. It may or may not have come with your course pack, I'm not sure. If not, if you can afford it, purchase it and go through it. After you get the fundamentals down you will be able to make more rapid gains. Good luck.

Thanks Osirus0830!!!

Can I start concentrating on Math for some time until I feel confident and switch to Verbal? Or work on both at same time?

Thanks..

Honestly, since you're weak at both right now, I would just recommend starting on the math. I believe that it is easier to improve in math than it is verbal, so you want to make sure that you get math down, in my opinion.
