Three days to my GMAT... any suggestion??

by mjjking » Fri Aug 17, 2007 9:03 am
Hi there, in 3 days I will know the(ir) truth: I'll be taking the GMAT!
These are my practice scores so fare:

GMATPrep1 : 590 (Q39 V31) (2,5 months ago)
MGMAT1 : 650
MGMAT2 : 670
MGMAT3 : 630
MGMAT4&5 : 640 (Q43, V36 in both, about 1 month ago)

ever since I've mainly focused on verbal, and I've just taken the GMATPrep2.
The score was 700 (!) (Q42,V42). I'm impressed by mysefl, hehe. ANyway, 6 questions on the verbal part weren't new to me, as I had found them in previous MGMAT tests 1 month and half ago. Nevertheless, I didn't remember neither my answer nor the correct one, so I had to reason on them and answer them like they were new. They were familiar in content, but I didn't remember the answer (honestly), so I had no advantage I think (at least, this is what I got, as I had to reason on them carefully!) (I got all of them correctly... and I made only 8 mistakes in the whole verbal part). What do you think? Is this score a good prediction of what I could get on mt actual test on Monday? Is my 650 goal feasible after this?

thanks a lot!!

In my experience GMAT prep is a very good indicator. You are definitely beyond your target score I think. All the best for your exams. Do let us know how it went. :D

At this point I would suggest you keep your cool. Revise weak areas/flash cards or whatever. You cannot prepare anything as such in the last few days. Little bit of practice will help.
