Dear Admission Consultants,
I am a 30 years old italian lawyer. I have a law degree from a well-known italian university with an equivalent gpa of 3.5 or above (I graduated with 110 on a maximum of 110) and I hold a master degree (LL.M. in international maritime and business law) from Tulane University Law School.
I worked for 5 years in my family's company (I built a door to door distribution system on my home town territory and I took care of the relationship with suppliers, banks and accountants) and I have 3 years of experience as a lawyer, practicing on several matters such as litigation, commercial and business law.
I am almost ready to make my gmat test and, if I'll score a 700 or more (I try to feel confident!!!!), I would like to apply for a top ten business school, harvard, london bs, wharton, stanford, columbia. My career goal is to work for a pharmaceutical industry or in a business consulting firm.
Frankly, I am in the middle of a personal crisis. I am not satisfied with my actual work, which does not provide me a good salary and career perspective, but, on the other hand, what scares me the most is the actual economic situation and, particularly, the italian situation. I tried to get into a pharmaceutical factory but all the doors were closed.
In conclusion, my questions can be summarized as follows:
1) is this the right time to invest 100 k euros in further education?
2) Do I have any chance to get in a top ten BS?
3) Can an MBA give me the opportunity to professionally grow in an international environment?
Looking forward to hearing your answers, I thank you in advance for the time and consideration you will deicate to my post.
