i will be applying HBS 2+2 this summer. i am yet to give GMAT.
MY EXTRA CIRICULUM is good. ONE YEAR OF WORK EXPERIENCE AS I TOOK
DROP FOR ONE YEAR DURING MY UG. but only one factor that holds me back is low GPA.
DO YOU THINK HBS 2+2 IS WORTH TRYING?
WHAT ARE CHANCES IF I SCORE EXCELLENT IN GMAT?
CAN A GOOD GMAT SCORE HIDE MY BAD GPA ?
PLEASE HELP ME. I AM IN GREAT CONFUSION WHETHER TO APPLY OR NOT?

Hello,

Most likely a poor GPA will hurt your chances with the 2+2 program, even with a strong GMAT. Of course, it depends on how bad it is, and you didn’t mention the actual number. Also, other factors that will affect how it’s viewed: what school you attended, what major you pursued, the GPA trend (low to high is better than the opposite), possible factors such as illness or family problem that would justifiably consume your attention and energy. A great GMAT will help, and could mitigate it to some extent, combined with those other factors. But it still will be a factor. Because of these variables and without knowing the actual GPA, I can’t advise whether you should apply or not based on that one point.
