{A} - INCORRECT; removal of "that" alters the meaning; "so far" usage at end is awkward
{B} - INCORRECT; "as yet" is awkward.. the first clause must have been preceded with negative situation using although.
{C} - INCORRECT; "prospect for inflation" is incorrect
{D} - INCORRECT; we don't need "still" as the usage of "even though" already brings shift in situation; we are already talking present so "currently" is not needed
{E} -

but, i am not so much convinced with {E} as it seems pretty much awkward.

Wouldn't D have been better if it instead read as "even though there are currently few signs that increasing energy prices are driving up the cost of other goods"?
Thanks,
Bharat.

Hi Bharat,

I agree with Rahul that one of the major problems with answer D is the word "still." Everything else in the sentence seems to imply "the present", but the word "still" implies something about the past, which doesn't seem to match.
