first question:
For all numbers x and y, let x▲y be defined
as x▲y= x² + xy + y². What is the value of (3▲1)▲1?
(A) 5
(B) 13
(C) 27
(D) 170
(E) 183

Answer is 183.. Need to know how this answer is found.
