I need some advice.

by brien » Fri Jan 04, 2008 10:18 am
I took the Test yesterday and received a disappointing score of 580, 32Q 38V. My goal is to enroll in the part time MBA program at either USC or UCI. I have 3 years of pretty good work experience and a undergrad GPA of around a 3.0. Do you think I should retake the exam? If so, what materials should I use to improve my quantitative scores? ( I have already used the OG 11, and Quantitative review.)

Hi Brien:

Sorry to hear that you didn't reach your target yesterday. What is your target score?

Also, how have you been performing with your practice tests? If you could identify the primary weak areas of quant, what would they be?

My Target score was 630. I was scoring between 610 and 650 on my practice tests. I think Data Sufficiency was my undoing.

Good start - try to get even more specific. What about the specific topic areas within math - eg quadratic equations or circle problems or divisibility theory problems...

Also, how was your timing / pacing on the test?
