Is 480 to 700 in a month even possible?

by ksuggs21 » Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:45 pm
Hi All,

I took the GMAT for the 2nd time today and was quite disappointed. I've followed the Beat The Gmat 60-Day Strategy to a T. I also have taken the MGMT Practice test (High Score: 570), Kaplan Practice (High Score: 610), Platinum GMAT (High Score: 640) and Princeton Review (High Score: 670) tests repeatedly. I bombed the actual test today 480 (14Q, 31V), first attempt 2 years ago was 420 (21Q, 27V).I'm retaking the test within a month so that I can meet my grad school application deadline.

Does anyone have any study plan suggestions? I have the OG13, OG12, OG 2nd Verbal, OG 2nd Quant and Manhattan GMAT Strategy Guide series as study guides. I was leaning toward the 30-Day plan by Magoosh. I work a full-time and part-time job and try to squeeze in 3 hrs a day everyday. Any other suggestions? I've also read on here that focusing on 700-800 level questions can make the rest seem easy after awhile. I feel really deflated by these two scores and I dont want to give up!

I really appreciate any help!

There are key fundamentals missing at your score. Focus on the foundation and not the super difficult problems. Honestly 220 points is a lot in a month, but that doesn't make it impossible.
