Hi,
I contracted MBA for GMAT prep and admissions consulting for 5 schools. This was probably one of the biggest mistakes I have made in my life and definitely a complete waste of money. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!!!
GMAT Course: I was really concerned with my Math and had been promised one-on-one sessions with a tutor. However, after one session, I was unable to schedule more. MBA House's online scheduling system always said that my tutor was not available for online sessions and my attempts to email the tutor were fruitless and I never received an answer.
I was drawn to MBA House's real-life test environment and the ability to do practice tests there. I scheduled a practice test on a Saturday for 9am. I showed up to MBA House at 8:50 to find the school locked and had to wait for over an hour for someone. Furthermore, when in my first intro session, I specifically told MBA House that I had already done the Manhattan GMAT tests and would need access to other material. Imagine my frustration when after waiting for an hour, sending multiple emails in advance I sit down to take the practice test and ONLY have Manhattan material available.
Obviously, mistakes and miscommunications happen, so I initially gave MBA House the benefit of the doubt. Yet, they showed a complete lack of competence and interest for my GMAT needs. After this test with only Manhattan material, I sent more emails and called letting the administration know that I would be taking another test in 2 weeks and would need other materials. Finally on the Saturday of the my scheduled practice, I find out that they STILL didn't have other material, so instead of taking a practice test I spent my morning calling and calling, emailing and emailing, and finally got through and only at 5pm did they send me new material.
Applications Assistance: I applied second round, hence needed my essays to be reviewed in December, however, my consultant was 100% not available and out of the country the entire month. I ended up having to talk to someone who was new to the company and no idea of my background.
