If x and y are positive integers, what is the value of x?
1) 3^x * 5^y = 1125
2) y = 3
Answer is supposedly A but I was going was C >>
3^x * 125 = 1125 so x must be 2. Can somebody explain why statement 1 is sufficient?
THANKS!!!!
