Long Range Plan Help

by Clevelander61 » Sun May 24, 2009 9:47 am
Back story - I took the GMAT a few months ago after very little studying to see how I would score outright and got a 530 - at least I got a 6 on the writing part (even though it really doesnt count). Disappointed, but thats life.

I am not planning on taking the test again next summer (2010) after my current professions contract ends in late May next year. I would like to apply to school for the 2011 academic term.

What does everyone suggest I focus on at this point being so far out from my goal of taking the exam next July or August 2010?

I know I have considerable work to do to score well enough to get into an Ivy League school or another top school. Let me know what your guidance is at this point.

Use the free resources online and practice the habit of methodical study. Focus on one section of the test for awhile and then switch to a different section. It's quite likely you'll be surprised how much you can improve with slow and steady study. Good Luck!
