sqrt(x^2) is always equal to |x|. E is correct.

If you go through the answer choices as well, you can tell very quickly that E would be the correct answer.

Anything in the absolute brackets has to be positive so whenever you see the absolute brackets, the number inside is positive but when the sign is not there, the number can be positive or negative. X^2 is also always positive. Any number squared will yield a positive answer.

Process of elimination on questions like these is usually the best method in my opinion.
