Hi Guys, Always wanted to do MBA after my graduation but could not. After 9 years of work and with a family, I have made up my mind to do MBA

As I have been out of studies for quite a lot of time, I am not sure where should I start really. I would love to start from the basics on everything ie every part that GMAT test covers. For maths, I have bought the Kaplans' Math Foundation book to start with and I am going to read it page by page.

Can you please suggest me the study material I should start with (for maths, RC, verbal, essays etc)?

Akhil,

Congratulation on your decision!! I think you've started on the right path.. Learning the basics or refreshing your memory is extremely important and this would form the foundation of your preparation.

Math workbook from Kaplan is great for Quant. You can learn all the basics in this book. If you want a subject-wise in depth review then I's suggest the Manhattan GMAT guides. there are a total of 8 book i guess that cover each topic of GMAT namely Number properties, Word problems, Inqualities, Sentence correction, Critical reasoning etc. Their quality of books is simply the best in business. And for gmat takers, Manahattan GMAT Sentence correction guide is the bible..

Once your have done with the review, you can begin your work on the real GMAT questions from the Official Guide books. There are three of these and these are prepared by GMAC (the folks who design the GMATtest.) These books will be extremely important in your practice and studies. You can also download the GMATPrep software which contain 2 practice computer based tests.
