C- Many of the soldiers that were injured and killed in the invasion of Normandy have been
D- The invasion of Normandy injured or killed many soldiers that have been
E- In the Invasion, many soldiers that were injured or killed at normandy had been

Past perfect tense Had been is to be used as out of 2 events one was completed before the other even if we have explicitly stated "before" to sequence the timing of events, Please comment ?

Also Have been is to be used for present perfect only? right?
