Profile evaluation - ISB

Hi all,

Please evaluate my profile for ISB.

Indian/F/27

X - 91%
XII - 85%
B.E. from State university.
Have 5 years work experience in private equity in a research firm. Job responsibilities involve leading a team of 5, and handling major clients independently. Have also worked in the US (for a project) for one year.
GMAT - 700

Could you please let me know my chances at ISB (really keen on getting through) and suggest any other Indian /US b-school (Finance focused)?

Well, to give you a real full evlaution we'd need a LOT more detail, but you definitely have a shot.
Two things going for you: 1. Female 2. 5 years in PE (if its a big firm, then even better!)

As for schools,IIM is the other Indian school that comes to mind (and is currently ranked higher than ISB in FT). In the US, you are opening yourself up to a WORLD of options, but the traditional finance schools are mainly: Booth, Sloan, Johnson, Columbia, NYU, Wharton. Of course if you get into ANY Top 20 program, they will have the resources for you to succeed in PE.

Hi,

Your profile is one of the better profiles we can come across. Reasons..
5 yrs of experience
PE experience
Team lead experience
Client interaction experience
Decent GMAT score of 700
And on top of that you are a female applicant.

ISB is definitely possible, look at IIMC PGPEX - though deadline is close. NUS and HKUST are other decent options.

In US, look at Stern, Columbia, Ross & booth.
