A luxury car dealership sells only Ferraris and Lamborghinis. If the number of Ferraris for sale is \(4/9\) of the total number of cars for sale, then for every 4 Ferraris there are:

A. 2 Lamborghinis
B. 3 Lamborghinis
C. 4 Lamborghinis
D. 5 Lamborghinis
E. 9 Lamborghinis

OA D
The number of Ferraris for sale is 4/9 of the TOTAL number of cars for sale
In other words, out of every 9 cars sold 4 of them are Ferraris.
In other words, out of every 9 cars sold 5 of them are NOT Ferraris.
In other words, for every 4 Ferrari sold, 5 NON Ferraris are sold
Since the dealership sells only Ferraris and Lamborghinis, we know that 5 Lamborghinis are sold

Answer: D

Let the total number of car = x
Ferraris for sale = 4/9 of x.
This means that out of every 9 cars sold, 4 are Ferrari and 5 are Lamborghini.
Hence, out of every 4 Ferrari sold, there are 5 Lamborghini sold since ethe dealership only sells Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Answer = Option D
