I'm in a tricky situation as I've only known about the GMAT for 3 days now and am taking the test next week. The MGMAT SC has boosted my SC marks already in about 2 days so it seems that their books are extremely good.

Given that I will have only a few days at most to read another book, which is the wiser choice for CR: Powerscore or MGMAT? Which one is more concise?

Thanks...

I have'nt used MGMAT CR so i cant say anything about it

But Powerscore is really really good theory wise (i have seen a lot of them on this forum suggest this book for CR), the only thing its 300+ pages and if u can manage to do it then nothing like it.

The Powerscore bible is quite comprehensive but has some great examples. I suggest you chose and read the topics where you tend to make most mistakes. For example, if you tend to go wrong on the Assumption questions, read that chapter from the bible, it will take about an hour or a little more to finish.

If you wish to go through the strategy for each and every type of question, I suggest you pick the book that is most concise. The powerscore bible is quite huge as it takes a very detailed approach for each section. Although I have not referred to the MGMAT CR book, from what I have read they seem to be equally good. So if it is more concise you can go through it or just pick and read topics which you are not comfortable with.

Thanks for the replies.... I just checked that the MGMAT CR guide is 200 pages but that doesn't mean its necessarily more concise than the Powerscore CR Bible.

Does anyone know which one is more concise, given that I will spend a maximum of 3 entire days on it?

Thanks...

If you have 6 days, I would recommend getting the powerscore cr bible and going through at least the first few chapters and the chapters on strengthen, weaken, and assumption. You really don't have the time to go through all of it, so focus on those chapters.
