If you are not sure a noun is countable or uncountable, how do you select "less" or "fewer" correctly? Less + Uncountable noun----->you should think about "fewer"
Fewer+countable noun------> the noun must be plural. If you see singular noun-----> you should think about "less".

OPTION A:- INCORRECT
Wrong in this sentence, illnesses is countable ----->"less" is incorrect.
