Retaking Gmat

by shmulik » Thu Dec 06, 2012 5:12 am
Hi,
I did the actual exam 3 weeks ago and i got 660. my verbal score was low - 28.
During the test, i felt i'm guessing many SC. In many questions I left with 2-3
answers that i could not eliminate with grmmer rules. I know the meaning topic
became central lately and i guess i was not prepered for it.
I read many articles about Meaning in this forum and now i am more focus on it.
I already did MGMAT CAT and Gmatprep before my first exam.
Manhattan CAT predicted more accurately my final score:
In manhattan CAT i got 650-700 while in Gmatprep 730-750.
I think that the reason for it is that MGMAT RC questions were harder for me than the Gmatprep/OG13
RC questions.
Now i need to find a new source of tests.
the only important thing for me about those tests is whether they are updated to the
new SC question style.
Do you have any advice about CATs?

I will be happy to hear any opinion
Thanks

Honestly, CATs are not what you need to get better. Practice dissecting verbal problems is. You will get better with review of work, not more CATs

I agree, but i need to measure my progress and to solve verbal after AWA, IR and MATH.
it is much easier to solve verbal questions when you are fresh so before my next exam ill need to do few simulations.
