Hello,

I am scheduled to apply for full time MBA program in the U.S Fall 2013. I am considering enrolling business related courses to
1. Strengthen my application, demonstrate commitment towards my MBA plans
2. Expand my understanding of business in preparation for future MBA course work and career plans

I am currently outside the U.S and don't have the advantage of community colleges / in-person course attendance, I'm considering taking ONLINE courses. I am a chemical engineering major (undergrad) followed by an M.S degree in computer science major. So although I'm not quants challenged, I don't have a background in accounting/ finance.

I am reaching out to solicit feedback / recommendations on which course may best serve my objectives and will be achievable based on degree of difficulty and constraints given my full-time employment status and non-business background.

Considering ONE of the following ONLINE course :
1. Introduction to Accounting - UC Berkeley extension
2. Essentials of Business Plan Writing - UCLA Extension - Seems relevant, Easy to complete as well.
3. Intl. Business Management - UC Berkeley extension - I'm interested because this is related to entrepreneurship
4. Essentials of Business - UC Berkeley extension[Course description :Examine the functions that a company must effectively manage to be successful, such as accounting, finance, human resource management, marketing, operations management and strategic planning.]
5. Any other course suggestion / program or univ welcome.

Thanks a lot and I look forward to your suggestions !

The only coursework that will help you will involve technical material.

Sounds like the accounting course is the only one you have on your list. Intro to finance might help as well.
