we write the following as a correct example of subjunctive mood

She recommended that each student bring his or her homework every day.

but if the case had been that 'she recommended students' then what form of bring is used???

She recommended that students bring/? their homework every day.

I feel it should be -
She recommended that students bring their homework every day.

'bring'(bare form of verb) is used irrespective of the number of subject(singular/plural).
