B - corporate chieftain's career commenced in an obscure internship as
C - corporate chieftain had commenced his career with the obscure internship of being
D - corporate chieftain commenced his career with the obscure internship of being
E - career of the corporate chieftain has commenced with an obscure internship of


Corporate chieftain's career spanned for three generations. How can Corporate Chieftain be spanned for three generations. That is folly.

This is a modifier question and hence that leaves us options B and E.

E uses the verb 'has' which conveys a wrong meaning. It means that the career just commenced. Hence B is the correct answer.
