Set S consists of n positive integers. What is the range of squares of n positive integers?
A. The largest number is S minus the smallest number in S is 5
B. The average of the numbers in S is 6

Ans is E

Both statements are INSUFF

I think you're right, nithi. What about this though - if they said that Set S contained n "unique" positive integers, would that make the answer C?

You need a difference of 5, so you could have: 8, 7, and 3. Or 9, 4, and 5. So I guess that doesn't work either (55 in the first and 56 in the second).

I thought I could find a way to make it C, but I guess it's definitely E, even if they give a little extra information.

Hehe, its questions like these that makes me wanna be done with GMAT! Yea I tried to make it C too. Couldn't. Have to go with E.
