Initially,
$$\frac{Red\ balls}{Green\ balls}=\frac{4x}{3x}$$
After adding three green balls
$$=\frac{4x}{3x+3}=1$$
$$4x=3x+3$$
$$x=3$$
No of red balls = 4x where x = 3
4 * 3 = 12
12 Red balls

$$Answer\ is\ option\ D$$

We can let the number of red balls and green balls be 4x and 3x, respectively. Thus, we can create the equation:

3x + 3 = 4x

3 = x

Therefore, there are 4(3) = 12 red balls.

Answer: D
