If the slope of a line is ½ and the y-intercept is 3, what is the x-intercept of the same line?
A. 6
B. 3/2
C. 0
D. -2/3
E. -6

y = mx +c
y = x/2 + 3
x intercept is when y = 0
Hence x = -6

Slope=-b/a

1/2=-3/a

a=-6
