I thought I had a decent shot at Rice. Applied round II. Interviewed 4 weeks ago (today). I thought the interview went well. I guess not.
University of Houston Evening- Accepted
University of Texas (Houston) MBAP - Interviewed, waiting decision.
Rice University MBAP - DINGED

-2.96gpa (Note that I had a 3.4gpa in last 66 hours, and graduated with honors, Cum Laude. I also worked full time while I was obtaining my engineering degree. I guess this does not hold any weight?)
-1 Year of Post-Graduate Experience (I have 5-6 years of serious project & engineering experience and my employer realizes this as my current salary is over $100k and I just graduated May 2012)
-27 years old.
I'm not your typical candidate, I understand that. Maybe I should not be disappointed at Rice's decision, but I hope I was not dinged because Rice could not understand the message I was trying to convey!
Fingers crossed as I await UT-Houston decision!
