1) Joe's weight is 80% of Tom
2) Tom's weight is 125% of Joe's Weight
I have chosen D . Please explain me if I am wrong .
Thanks in advance for your response.
Statement 1: I'm assuming this is meant to read "Joe's weight is 80% of Tom's
weight"
(otherwise we have a Sentence Correction issue in which we are incorrectly comparing Joe's
weight to
Tom).
If the question reads, "Joe's weight is 80% of Tom's weight," then we can say that Joe's weight = 0.8(Tom's weight)
From this, we can conclude that Tom is heavier than Joe. SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: Tom's weight is 125% of Joe's Weight
In other words Tom's weight = 1.25(Joe's weight)
From this, we can conclude that Tom is heavier than Joe. SUFFICIENT
Answer =
D
