Hi, everyone! This is Rebecca from the Graduate Management Admission Council. I wanted to share with you all the news about a new feature with the GMAT exam. Starting June 27, you will be able to view your unofficial score(Integrated Reasoning, Quant, Verbal and Total) BEFORE deciding to accept or cancel your scores.

We hope this new feature will allow give you more control over which scores to cancel and which to keep. We put together a blog post for you with more details, which you can read here: https://www.mba.com/global/the-gmat-blog ... about.aspx

But if you have more questions, ask away!

I encourage everyone to read the article cited by "Official GMAT" in the posting above.

There are some nuances to this policy. For example, even if you cancel your score you can reinstate the score within a given time for a fee.

This is a positive development for anyone who has had that moment of doubt at the end of the exam!

Rebecca, what will show on the official score report when someone cancels on the preview and then later reinstates?

Exiting Announcement from GMAC: New Score Reporting

Now the applicants will have more control over the test score. Moreover, if the student is submitted for the GMAT test a second time within 60 days from the test date, the cost will be reduced by 60%.If you don´t hit your score you can always take it again and improve it!!

Hello, GMAT Barcelona. Thanks for giving me a chance to clarify our new policy! Students are now able to view their score BEFORE deciding to accept or cancel, a move we hope will give them more control over which scores schools view. However, there is NO discount available for students who choose to retake the exam. The GMAT exam will still cost $250, which is the full amount.

However, if a student decides to re-instate a previously cancelled score, they can do so for a $100 fee. They have 60 days to make that decision.

I hope that clarifies things for you!

Rebecca

Your score report will not state that the score was previously cancelled.

I hope that helps!

Hi Rebecca,

So if we were to cancel our score and retake it a month later, the report would only show the score we accepted? I'm trying to determine if the report will show something similar to a college transcript when a student withdraws AFTER the deadline.

Thanks!

Your score report will indicate that you took the exam but cancelled the score. Only the scores you choose to accept will be shown on your report.

I hope that helps.
