St1 hints us that Q is negative.

case 1:
q= -21 ; p = 1

p + q = 1-21 = -20
PQ = 1* (-21)
= -21
-20> -21 (TRUE)

case 2:
q= -21 ; p = 0.1
p + q = 0.1-21 = -20.9
PQ = 0.1* (-21)
= -2.1

p + q > p q ( FALSE)

st 2:

Combining st1 & st2:

p=1 q=-1 ( as Q should be negative)


LHS will be 0 and RHS will be negative

So p + q > p q .
