(E) 200
GIVEN: x is 150% greater than 200
150% of 200 = 300
So, x = 200 + 300 = 500

QUESTION: x is what percent greater than 50% of 500?
In other words, 500 is what percent greater than 250 (since 50% of 500 = 250)?
This is the same as asking "What is the PERCENT CHANGE from 250 to 500?"

PERCENT CHANGE = 100(new-old)/odd
= 100(500 - 250)/250
= 100(250)/250
= 100
So, 500 is 100% greater than 250
Answer: D

QA is d.

Seem C is the correct option but please show your working on how to arrive at the correct answer.
Hi Roland2rule,
Let's take a look at your question.

The question states,
"x is 150% greater than 200."
x = 200 + (200)(150/100)
x = 200 + 300 = 500

x is what percent greater than 50% of 500?
50% of 500 = (50/100)(500) = 250

Percent Change = [(New Value - Old Value)/Old Value] x 100%
Percent Change =[ (500 - 250)/250] x 100%
Percent Change = (250/250) x 100%
Percent Change = (1) x 100%
Percent Change = 100%

Therefore, Option D is correct.
