The thirteen British colonies in NA, some formed as commercial ventures,others as religious havens,each had a written charter that set forth its form of gov and the rights of the colonists

B - COLONIES...CALL....ITS (pronoun issue); HAD WRITTEN...SET implies charter was written before and no more available (changes the intended meaning); SOME BEING...OTHERS AS.. are not written in parallel form

D - ALL HAD A CHARTER implies all colonies had ONE comprehensive charter
