For the below Kind of CR Questions - Is their a Strategy that we should follow? or the approach remains the same as that for the other CR questions ?

Question: Since it has become known that several of a Bank`s top executives have been buying shares in their own bank, the bank depositors, who had been worried by rumors that the bank faced impending financial collapse, have been greatly relieved. The reason that, since top executives evidently have faith in the bank`s financial soundness, those worrisome rumors must be false. Such reasoning might well be optimistic, however since corporate executives have been known to buy the shares in their own company in a calculated attempt to dispel negative rumors about the company`s health.

In the Argument given, the two boldfaced portions play which of the following roles?

A. The first describes evidence that has been taken as supporting a conclusion; the second gives a reason for the questioning that support.

B. The first describes evidence that has been taken as supporting a conclusion; the second states a contrary conclusion that is the main conclusion of the argument.

C. The first provides evidence in support of the main conclusion of the Argument; the second states that conclusion.

D. The first describes the circumstances that the agreement as a whole seek to explain; the second gives an explanation that the Argument seeks to establish.

E. The first describes the circumstances that the agreement as a whole seek to explain; the second provides evidence in support of the explanation that the argument seeks to establish.

I will approach this question by find the conclusion first, and then assess the role of each bold face sentence.

Conclusion: "Such reasoning might well optimistic"

Such reasoning here is "The reason that ...."

Easy way to evaluate the boldface sentence that is nearest the conclusion, the 2nd. It support for the conclusion (for the indicator 'since'). So, let's POE, (B), (C) out. The choice (D) say "give explanation that the ... seek", it mean here is conclusion and (E) out for the same reasoning as (B) and (C).

Ok, let's look at the 1st boldface, the role of it is only background of argument, talking about the action of bank executives.

Between (A) and (E), I use the 'therefore' method, looking for which sentence go first. So, finally, chose answer choice (A).

Hope that help
