Hi
Please evaluate my profile. I'm looking basically for one year(or close) mba programmes so my b-school choices are pretty much restricted to Europe and a few others.
GMAT
Date taken: October 2009
Total: 690 (88%)
Verbal: 35(73%)
Quant: 48(83%)
AWA: 5.5/6(76%)
Age : 26/Indian/IT
Education:
Bachelor of Engineering (Comp. Sc.) (2002-2006)
GPA: 2.5/4 (Low , I know!)
Work experience: Total until Dec 09: 3.25 years, by Fall 2010: 4 years
Current Location: UK
Description:
I've been working in a technology consulting firm since 2006. Starting off as a developer I've had quite rapid career progression and was promoted into a project lead role within a year of joining.
Since the last 2 years (Dec 2007), I've been working in the UK for an Insurance client and have extensive international exposure. My role involves Delivery management and technical consultancy of IT projects leading a team of 12 . Activities typically involve managing the entire software delivery lifecycle with activities such as project planning, solution design, resource management, stakeholder management, quality assurance and issue mitigation.
I also have very good recommendations from my manager and clients.
Extra curriculars: Have managed and hosted various corporate and social events, was part of a very active dramatics club in university , have performed as a musician (guitar) and also played league cricket for a local english club.
My interest post MBA is mainly in management consulting .
These are the schools at which I've applied to or am in the process of applying to:
1. LBS
2. ISB
3. Said
4. Judge
5. INSEAD
6. HEC
Does my profile seem competitive enough for these schools taking into account the low GPA and not so great GMAT? Are there any other schools that I should be looking at as well?
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance!
