B.miniature electronic circuit on a thin surface of semiconductor material, which became an invention to revolutionize the field of electronics
C.miniaturized electronic circuit on a thin surface of semiconductor material, an invention which revolutionized the electronics field

In the sentence the clause by fabricating a miniaturized electronic circuit on a thin surface of semiconductor material modifies the previous main clause as it is providing additional information about the building procedure.
Now the second clause an invention that revolutionized the field of electronics is modifying IC or integrated circuits.

So shouldn't this clause be placed near IC ?
If yes, In that case this option has a misplaced modifier (hence wrong)
If no, where am I thinking wrong ?

Would someone please explain ?

Thanks

OA: a thin surface of semiconductor material, an invention that revolutionized the field of electronics
Here, invention seems to refer to semiconductor material, implying that SEMICONDUCTOR MATERIAL was an INVENTION THAT REVOLUTIONIZED THE FIELD OF ELECTRONICS.
The intended meaning is that the MICROCHIP was an invention that revolutionized the field of electronics.
