2/3 Split.
determine v/s determinining
so down to A and C
again there is a split
help vs helps
differences....help

C is passive and differences ...helps is wrong

So A
GMAT score is equally counted as your GPA and 78 clicks can change you life.

Since "subtle differences" is plural, "help" is the right usage. Option C and D eliminated.

between should be used only when you compare 2 things with an "and".
Here we are not saying "A and B". Thus, "differences in" is the right usage.

B is incorrect because it is not the difference in 2 ears.....B is eliminated

Thus, Choose A.
