x= √3+1/√3-1 = (√3+1)^2/(√3-1)(√3+1)=3+2√3+1/3-1=4+2√3/2=2+√3
Then x-1/x=2+√3-1/2+√3=2+√3-2-√3/(2+√3)(2-√3)=2+√3-2-√3/4-3
=2+√3-(2-√3)=2√3

Therefore, B is the answer.
