Hi,
Can anyone please explain to me the usage of -ing form? since, most of the options using -ing in GMAT are incorrect. Can someone explain to me clearly as to when do we use -ing (except the continuous form, thats so obvious)

There can be multiple usages of "+ing" form. Some mostly tested on GMAT are:

-> Cause & Effect/Adverbial: the effect take the ING form and modifies the complete cause, which is a clause.
For Example: The firm's investors invested unwisely for three consecutive years, leading to the complete collapse of the bank

-> Adjectival Usage: It modifies the Subject of the sentence
For example: Seeing the condition of the user car, Brain thought of buying a new one.
