Did one of the 3 members of a certain team sell at least 2 raffle tickets yesterday?

(1) The 3 members sold a total of 6 raffle tickets yesterday

(2) No 2 of the members sold the same number of raffle tickets yesterday


Answer is (D)

To me, the question is : did one member sell >2 tickets? If one person sold 2 tickets, the answer to the question is NO

(1) Insufficient
6 tickets sold can be slpit among 3 team members:
- 6-0-0 --> answer to the question is yes
- 2-2-2 --> answer to the question is no

(2) I am not even sure to understand the sentence...

The wording of this problem doesn't make sense at all:

"Did xxx tomorrow" Did they do something tomorrow?

My only comment is that it is not asking for >2 tickets, the question asks for AT LEAST two tickets. So that is >1 or >=2. Therefore A is definitely sufficient. One person could have sold all six tickets, you could split it up and each one would have sold 2 (AT LEAST two, so true), or some combination.

Maybe you can clear up how the question reads and the answers.

If answer two is "No two of the member sold the same NUMBER of tickets yesterday", then that is also sufficient:

If all members sold zero tickets - invalid. They cannot sell the same number
Someone sells 0, and the other two only sell 1 - again invalid.

Therefore, start with the base case:
Member 1 - 0 tickets
Member 2 - 1 ticket
Member 3 - 2 tickets

This is the lowest number of tickets you could sell in this case, and no matter what, someone will also sell at least two tickets.

I corrected the question.

Wording of (2) is indeed strange and got me confused.

1. Sufficient.
Since 3 members tean sold 6 raffle tickets yesterday, at least 1 member sold 2 tickets.

2. Sufficient
Since no.2 sold two tickets.

IMO D is the correct answer.
