(1) p is even.
(2) p is the square of an integer.
1^3 = 1
2^3 = 8
3^3 = 27
4^3 = 64
So, p can be 1, 8, 27, or 64.

(1) p is even implies p can be 8 or 64.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.

(2) p is the square of an integer implies p is either 1 or 64.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.

Combining (1) and (2), p = 64; SUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is C.
