This part is taken from a GMAT prep question
Original Op D: CORRECT
Most of the purported health benefits of tea come from antioxidants-compounds that are also found in beta carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin C and that inhibit the formation of plaque along the body's blood vessels.
Now, i modify this option and remove the THAT (in green) after AND
Most of the purported health benefits of tea come from antioxidants-compounds that are also found in beta carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin C and inhibit the formation of plaque along the body's blood vessels.
Is this modified version still correct and will be read same as original Op D???? Logically the subject of verb "inhibit" should be "antioxidants-compounds" NOT "Most of the purported health benefits" so in this modified version still the sub of the verb inhibits remains the same compounds or in this case (without THAT) the verb inhibit is parallel to "come" and takes the subject "Most of the purported health benefits" NOT "compounds"?????
IMO modified version is not correct, as in the modified version, the verb "inhibit" will be parallel to "come" and take "Most of the purported health benefits" NOT "compounds" as its subject which is wrong????
Whats your opinion???
