Oa is D.

I want to know why B is wrong. Why are we prefering 'ing' form here. Pl Explain....

B is wrong beacause of parallelism...."originated from" is active, whille "perpetuated by" is passive...
For B to be correct, it should have been either "and were perpetuated by" or "that originated from......., perpetuated by......."
