MBA Admissions

by Yogesh Jhorar » Tue Nov 19, 2013 4:43 am
I am a student from India currently pursuing my undergraduate and my major is biotechnology.I want to know about the MBA admissions and requirements. I want to pursue an MBA but I don't have any work experience so should I gain some work experience and then apply or can I apply without any prior work experience. I have 6 months internship experience and also managing the family business.
I will be graduating in July 2014 and want to apply for the fall 2015 start and by then i will have post undergraduate work experience of 1 year. If I work in my family business will that be counted as work experience and how to provide credential for the same. Please guide me.

Hi Yogesh Jhorar,

Thanks for your post. For your application, I recommend you read this case study of a family business candidate who was accepted into a top MBA program: https://www.stacyblackman.com/2012/06/21 ... k-for-you/

Typically, internship experience is not included in work experience, and business schools tend to like at least 2 years of work experience.

Cheers,
