I think the answer is (C) because a parallel construct is formed which properly compares the two types of archaeologists.
I'm really old, but I'll never be too old to become more educated.

Good point so the issue with the sentence does not necessarily go with "so do"

In C they are using both "Just as" & "so"
What is the need to use 'so' again when we are already using 'just as'
