Hello All!!

I am planning on taking the GMAT in mid to late March. I have taken the GMAT before and I utterly bombed that test! I am very hesistant to take the test again but I really need to now. I need some tips as to how to approach this. I found that the last time I took the test, I rushed through and didn't even use all the time allotted. I know myself, and I know that if I don't know an answer, I have a hard time going over the choices so I end up guessing! Its like a find a way for each answer to be kind of right!

Last time I used the Princeton Review book as well as the GMAT Prep. I went through the entire Princeton Review book and did probably half the questions from the prep. What other books should I look in to?

Right now, I am also in the process of going through the flashcards given on this site. Has anyone found them to be helpful?

Besidse all of this, does anyone have any other ideas as to how I should approach this? Last time, I did about a chapter a week, but I still had a hard time understanding the material.

I would really appreciate your input! Thanks!!

I've listed a few tips and resources below that may be helpful.

1. 2. More practice can never hurt! There are additional 9 old real GMAT paper tests in pdf files for purchase on mba [dot] com. It is about $25 for 3 tests.

3. Private tutoring is always helpful; we have seen our students improve over a 1 month period. Manhattan Review does have tutoring services that can be tailored to your individual needs and that are relatively inexpensive. In reading your post, it seems like the root cause of your problems had to do with pacing. You seem to indicate that your conceptual knowledge for the test is fairly strong, but that you 'rushed through'.   • Sounds like you already found the GMAT Flash Cards - I hope you find them helpful, but even better, try to create your own set as you practice. I strongly believe that developing your own flashcards during your prep will do a lot in grounding you on concepts/strategies that are pertinent to your needs
